Very nice
I like this device. You don’t even need to sync it with your phone. You simply hit the switch and it will turn on and record everything it hears. If you use the app, however, all of the recordings will be accessible from the app that you download. It will divide the recordings into one hour chunks. The battery is very resilient. I set it to record and it ran for 24 hours straight and the battery was still above 50%. The microphone is extremely good. Also, it is a 60 GB flash memory drive. Audio recordings are extremely small so you could possibly record for a week straight and it would still not even be at 10% capacity. It could be in your pocket and it will clearly hear everything within a certain radius. It will not sound muffled or anything. I have had voice recorders, and their range was limited. I’ve had some in my pockets and voices usually sound muffled. Not with this device. I imagine that college students can use it for recording lectures. Usually someone is on a microphone with large speakers nearby. You will catch everything. What you hear it will hear. Don’t necessarily take everything I say as gospel truth buy it and try it for yourself. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Agree with the other one star reviewer
Everything the other reviewer says in its one star review is correct. I got nothing else to add. You can only hear your recordings on your phone using their basic app “ dvr link” that’s has no editing function , you can’t open or edit or listen to it on any other app on your iOS phone. Any other app trying to open the audio file will give an error message. Annoying as hell. You can’t even save the audio recording on your phone or in your files, you can save it , but it’s a non functional recording when u try to open it. You will have to open up the dvt link app and listen to it there. What’s the point then if you can’t freely save the file, edit the recording or hear it on your phone.

STOPPED charging after 5 months... now worthless
STOPPED charging after 5 months. I really liked using this for work. When it worked, the only issue I had is it isn't Mac compatible only the phone and the downloads took forever. So it would take awhile to download to my phone and then transfer to cloud file and then deleter. Now it doesn't work at all. It won't charge. The red light is on no matter what I do and I have even tried hitting the resetting button several times and leaving it to charge over night. I would NOT recommend this to people unless they have a PC and either don't use it daily or intend to off load files daily.

I bought 1, then 2, and just bought 5 more!!!
For conversation audio recording, there is no other recorder out there better than this one!I work around noisy equipment and this recorder is able to pick up the conversations at work that my iPhone can not.Furthermore, I have an active job and my iPhone voice memo app won’t stay open and other recording devices I’ve tried have buttons that get pushed in my pocket that stops the recording. This device has one button that “slides” on/off and because it’s not a push button, this device “stays”recording when I need it too! :-)I’ll be honest, in a perfect quiet environment, my iPhone voice memo recordings of something like a song does sound a little better, but what’s the point if the iPhone won’t pick up conversation audio in a noisy environment.I work 14 hour shifts and the battery is still at 100 % the next day. I have to work 2 full days before battery percentage drops. I only have to charge the recorder every other day and probably could go every 3 days, but don’t like letting my device batteries get low.If you’re looking to record conversation audio in all environments and especially if you need these recordings for protection and need not miss anything, then this is the best product out there.I was taking the time to backup audio and delete them, then just decided it’s so convenient to use them as backup storage devices as well and I just started buying more. The 64 gb storage space is much better than other recorders.Several weeks ago Amazon had run out so I just bought 5 more now that they are back in stock.I hope Evistar never discontinues this product!!!

Sound Quality
I returned it. The sound quality came across as a little static or not clear and crisp. Maybe I got a bad one. The item was fine and the app seem to be user friendly.

Not a call recorder
This isn’t bad for a cheap and convenient recorder but it’s not a call recorder and the audio quality (most likely due to the mic) is poor.

Very good audio recorder
Way cheaper than purchasing an app on the phone to record calls. Can also be used to record other things. Records the conversation very clearly as long as it is next to the phone (I place it behind the phone) although it used Bluetooth for connectivity. Install the app. Would have been nice if it had better instructions on how to connect BUT still not too much effort. First install the app then connect it with Bluetooth through the app and you are good to go.
